Through its Pavilion at the "Gulf Food 2015" Exhibition
22 Saudi companies are working on expanding their market share in exports of food products through participation under the umbrella of the Saudi Pavilion which is supervised by "SAUDI EXPORTS" in the food industry exhibition (Gulf Food 2015) held at the World Trade Center in Dubai between 27 and 29 October.
By joining the exhibition, the "SAUDI EXPORTS" aims to promote national food exports of domestic producers, in a sector whose size has increased from 10 billion riyals in 2009 to 13 billion riyals in 2014. The "SAUDI EXPORTS" has been working so hard to overcome difficulties these companies may face in terms of the export procedures, and the marketing challenges encountered by local exporters. It has also continued sending trade delegations to many countries, in order to open new and promising market opportunities for the national products in all fields in many international markets of various countries around the world, as well as making use of exhibitions to develop their projects and enhance the commercial Saudi products. This reflects positively on the local economy and contributes to diversifying sources of national income.
Nearly 1,500 companies from various countries around the world are taking part in the Food Industry Exhibition (Gulf Food 2015), held for 3 days in Dubai. The Expo is expected to attract more than 30000 visitors.
The Authority hopes that its efforts and activities will be an added value to the Saudi manufacturers in a way that will positively impact the national economy in general and growth of national companies in particular through stimulating these companies and enabling them to develop their business in international markets and making use of the available opportunities. It intends to do so through training workshops offered throughout the whole year, or through participation in specialized international fairs organized by the "SAUDI EXPORTS" in many sectors, in addition to bilateral meetings and forums.
