 Secretary General of "SAUDI EXPORTS" in a visit to Yanbu, Rabigh and Jeddah

​Last week, Secretary General of Saudi Export Development Authority "SAUDI EXPORTS", Eng. Salah Al Solami, and accompanying delegation from "SAUDI EXPORTS" visited a range of the West Coast cities in the Kingdom including Yanbu, Rabigh and Jeddah, the visit aims to discuss ways of corporation in activating and increasing volumes of exports. In addition to promoting the services of Saudi ports, its important economic and commercial role, and to access to export challenges which face the exporters to find suitable solutions with the relevant authorities.

The delegation of "SAUDI EXPORTS" visited Yanbu city as one of the important industrial areas in the kingdom in order to activate and increase the value of exports through ports of Yanbu, that they visited Yanbu Commercial Port, Royal Commission for Yanbu, King Fahd Industrial Port, Yanbu Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a number of exporting companies. During the visit, the ways to boost exports, invest the operational and geographical capacities of ports in supporting the national product and reducing the total cost of transport had been discussed, which will provide a competitive advantage for the local products in the international markets.

After that, the delegation of "SAUDI EXPORTS" visited Rabigh city and especially Economic Cities Authority, King Abdullah Port, KAEC Industrial Valley and manufacturers, to find out export challenges and export growth opportunities and to discuss ways of developing it by taking advantage of King Abdullah Port capacities and its distinctive geographical location, which is the first port in the Middle East owned, developed and totally managed by the private sector. In addition, KAEC Industrial Valley hosted the delegation of "SAUDI EXPORTS" and toured the city's facilities besides visiting a number of factories to recognize opportunities for cooperation in the industrial sector and to discuss the ways to boost exports.

The delegation of "SAUDI EXPORTS" concluded the visit in Jeddah with a number of export-related authorities, namely: Jeddah Islamic Port, Jeddah Islamic Port Customs, Logistics companies and Jeddah Chamber, that Secretary General and accompanying delegation met the members of Export Development Committee of Jeddah Chamber and some exporters that were invited to discuss export challenges and to find out export growth opportunities and ways of integration between relevant authorities.

It is worth mentioning that "SAUDI EXPORTS" invests all its possibilities towards improving the efficiency of the export environment, developing export capacities, promoting exporters and their products and encouraging Saudi products in addition to raising its competitiveness to access to the international markets reflecting the position of Saudi product, and to be an extension of the national economy in a way that achieves the objectives of "SAUDI EXPORTS", reflects the Kingdom’s Vision for 2030 and satisfies the aspirations of the wise leadership to diversify sources of income for the national economy.
