"SAUDI EXPORTS" Organizes and Displays National Products for 21 Saudi Companies

The Saudi Exports Development Authority "SAUDI EXPORTS ", has organized the Saudi Pavilion in "Mihas" Exhibition for Halal Food in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 1 and 4 April, in which 21 Saudi companies are taking part. Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Kuala Lumpur, Mr. Fahd Al-Rasheed, opened the Saudi Pavilion at the exhibition. During his tour in the Saudi Stand, Malaysian Minister of Commerce and Industry, Dato Seri Mustafa Mohamed, expressed his admiration of the high quality of the Saudi products.

The "SAUDI EXPORTS" is seeking to promote the Saudi exports by encouraging national companies to join specialized international exhibitions. This promotion is one of the most important services provided by the Authority to the Saudi companies, especially the medium and small ones. These exhibitions would be appropriate platforms to promote the Saudi products and highlight their quality. This would also give way to the largest possible opportunities for potential markets for export, and achieve a broader contact with existing and prospective customers. This provides an opportunity to get to know the competitors and different products by investigating the needs of different markets, and access them with more appropriate and competitive products.

The Saudi Pavilion had won the award of the best participant in Mihas Halal Food Exhibition 2014. During this round of the exhibition, the Saudi companies will present more than 75 food products, ranging from meat products, chicken, fish, frozen shrimp, fruit, vegetables, dates, juices, sugar, honey, dairy products and derivatives, pastries and derivatives.

The value of Saudi food exports to Asia scored more than 181 million riyals by the end of 2013. Malaysia had the largest share of these products 16%, followed by Vietnam 15% of the total Saudi food exports to Asia region, while Pakistan came third 14%. Shares of India and Indonesia were 9%. The remaining shares 37% went to other countries in the region. It is worth noting that the Saudi exports in the field of food industry recorded a growth of 6% by the end of 2013.

"Mihas", which lasts for four days and provides many opportunities for direct contact with key decision-makers and buyers interested in this growing sector in Asia, is considered the most reliable international exhibition of Halal food industry. More than 500 companies from more than 30 countries will participated in this exhibition.  The number of visitors is expected to reach more than 30000 professionals and specialists in this field.

The "SAUDI EXPORTS" is looking forward to providing new opportunities for global expansion for the benefit of national companies amid significant growth in a number of key markets around the world. This will be taking place through participation in specialized international exhibitions organized by the Saudi Exports Development Authority in many sectors.
