Secretary General of the "SAUDI EXPORTS ": International Specialized Exhibitions Provide a Suitable Platform for Exporting our National Products

The Secretary General of the Saudi Exports Development Agency "SAUDI EXPORTS" Ahmed bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Hakbani said that the "SAUDI EXPORTS" has introduced products of more than 216 Saudi companies under the umbrella of the Saudi Pavilion to 9 international exhibitions in several sectors such as food, petrochemicals, plastics and electricity, proving its ability to compete in international markets.

The "SAUDI EXPORTS" encourages national companies to attend and present their products in international markets in order to achieve a broader presence in these markets through the Saudi Stand. In the meantime, the "SAUDI EXPORTS" is working to overcome obstacles facing the Saudi companies. It provides logistical support to participants to highlight national products properly.

The Secretary General of the "SAUDI EXPORTS" stressed that the "SAUDI EXPORTS" seeks, through the organization of the Saudi Pavilion and participation in specialized international exhibitions, to encourage national firms to join these exhibitions. This allows development of competitive abilities of these companies through platforms simulating the target markets and contributing to the promotion of the national product in the international platforms. This will also open potential markets for export by Saudi enterprises as well as creating a convenient platform to connect with customers. This is what the Authority is working out through the service of "business-to-business meetings", which is held in conjunction with the exhibitions where the Authority participates. In turn, such service aims to open wider prospects to buyer customers and those interested in the national products.

The most prominent milestones of the "SAUDI EXPORTS" during the first half of this year were the ArabPlast exhibition in Dubai, as well as the organization of the Saudi Pavilion in the IFE exhibition housed by the British capital, London. That was the first and largest commercial presence for national companies in the European international exhibitions in food sector. 45 national companies participated in this exhibition, in addition to organizing the Saudi Pavilion in Mihas exhibition of "Halal food" in Kuala Lumpur. Through this exhibition, the Saudi Pavilion won the best Pavilion award at the exhibition for the second consecutive year. The "SAUDI EXPORTS" also organized a special Pavilion for Saudi companies in WETEX exhibition in Dubai, UAE. The "SAUDI EXPORTS" has been keen on the publicizing Saudi building materials techniques by inviting 46 specialized Saudi companies to Project Qatar exhibition. This is in addition to attending Africa Food Exhibition, which was held in Egypt. 20 Saudi companies attended this fair.

By organizing the Saudi Pavilion in specialized international exhibitions for many sectors, the "SAUDI EXPORTS" seeks to stimulate national companies to expand their business and scope of their export. For further information on the upcoming events, please visit the website www.saudiexports.sa
