It is expected that the Saudi Pavilion in the "Big 5" exhibition will witness a qualitative leap in number of Saudi companies. The "Big 5" exhibition will start at Dubai World Trade Centre from 17 to 20 November. This is the second time the "SAUDI EXPORTS" organizes this pavilion in the exhibition. It is expected that number of Saudi companies joining the pavilion will be 100 companies, against 27 companies last year.

The "Big 5" exhibition is gateway for the building and construction markets in the Middle East and Africa. For more than thirty years, it has been providing an ideal platform for business and communication in the field of building and construction. The "Big 5" exhibition will provide an opportunity for exhibitors and visitors alike to work hard with their peers, as well as get the latest information regarding all aspects of the construction industry.

On his part, the Secretary General of the Saudi Exports Development Authority, Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Al-Hakbani, stressed that the participation in the "Big 5" exhibition in the next edition 2014, will be the eleventh for the Saudi Pavilion since launching the initial phase of the "SAUDI EXPORTS" in 2013. He indicated that the national products should compete to enter the global market of building and construction, to improve quality and gain experience.

Al-Hakbani said that the "Saudi economic sector and the private sector share in achieving success and progress of the national economy. To support that, we seek to achieve as much successes as possible, and provide services to institutions or companies, because this will eventually contribute to strengthening the overall national economy".

Al-Hakbani pointed out that the Authority is eager that its efforts and activities will be a real added value to Saudis manufacturers. In turn, this will be positively reflected on the Kingdom's economy in general. He also said: "the Authority is working in coordination with manufacturers and related government agencies. We are part of them and work with them side-by-side to achieve the common national interest".

The "Big 5" exhibition had a new record during its last edition in 2013, by hosting 2747 participating agencies from 58 countries, in addition to 74,854 participants from 124 countries. This specialized exhibition in construction and building goes side by side with the development boom experienced by the Gulf region, especially the KSA, which participates with a large number of exhibitors of national products.
